Detachment

 How does one detach?

One does not detach by working on detaching.

That would defeat its purpose.

Because then, it would place its emphasis on detaching.

Thereby giving it more emphasis, more importance.

No, you detach by placing emphasis on something else.

Hence to detach from self, from your ego.

You do not say, I must detach from my ego.

By that means, you are putting emphasis, 

weight of importance on your ego.

No, you turn your attention from ego to something else, 

to God, to the Supreme Creator.

Once you turn your attention to God.

Then you are putting emphasis on God.

God becomes more important.

Essentially, by attaching yourself to God,

you are detaching yourself from self, from the ego.
