“You are so brave,” an American couple told me when I shared my story.
“Brave,” I did not feel brave.
Brave is doing something needing courage.
Again, ignorance is bliss.
I did not know enough to be afraid.
Those days, whatever door opened, I took it.
However, I did remember a dream.
In the dream, I visited the nuns who begged me not to leave.
Not leaving for West Malaysia?
I will leave for a land far farther than that, I thought in my dream.
And my dream had come true.
There I was, heading for the United States of America, the land of the free.
The man, George, who met me at the airport was dressed in a suit, tie, and a cowboy hat.
It was exactly how he looked in the photo given to me.
He hurried me off to a small plane and that very evening I was at his house.
I had thought we might stay the night in Los Angeles.
The following day, I woke out to a sunny day with cool temperatures.
It was the third of April, and spring.
That was the strangest feeling.
In Malaysia, where there is sun, there is heat.
Sunny and cold was an experience so incongruous, I remember it to this day.
Probably afraid the bird or bride might fly away, he suggested we get married right away.
He looked good enough, and was a teacher, I could not go wrong.
On top of that, I was not going back to Malaysia.
I agreed.
A few years ago, when I started channeling, I realized the marriage was meant to be.
He was into UFOs, and channeling.
He read all the books he could find on channeling, his favorite being Seth, channeled by Jane Roberts.
Other favorites were Ruth Montgomery, Sheila Maclaine, Rudoft Steiner, Aleister Crowley amongst others.
Though not into the New Age at the time, extra terrestrials, and channeling were not as foreign as it would have been had he not introduced them to me.
