"The wound is the place where light enters you," Rumi.
This is so beautiful and so true.
I remember entering into an acute night of the soul moment.
In that moment of devastation,
I found myself thrust into the inner depths of my being.
I went in so deep, I knew an area just opened out to me.
I recognized it as a grace and knew this devastation opened that door to me
And that I will not be able to readily access it.
Times like that reveal the deep recesses we have within us.
While I was in it, I found it was a big room, light grey in color.
The room was empty,
adjacent to it was a small room where there was a dolphin.
I went to it for comfort.
Now often, I retreat there as a place of refuge.
I asked the collective what that room was about.
They told me it was an inner sanctuary
I built for myself during that moment of extreme conflict and pain.
Sufferings are said to be the best teachers in life.
Sufferings are painful but they are most effective
in expediting our spiritual path to enlightenment.
